Was ist West Head ?

You can walk through fields of flowers and enjoy a great view of Gull Rock Lighthouse. Here is a bird watcher's haven on the edge of the continent, next stop ...... NORTH AFRICA.

West Head is the narrow headland, unlike any other, that boldly stretches into the rugged Atlantic Ocean in Shelburne County, the southern most area in Nova Scotia. It is five minutes from the Town of Lockport, known for its rich fishing history and the magnificent Crescent Beach. The Historic Town of Shelburne with all the amenities, and home to Canada's greatest number of 18th century wooden homes is thirty minutes away. Yarmouth, the terminal for the two ferries from Maine, is 1 1/2 hours away and Halifax and its International Airport 2 1/2 hours. West Head.....basking seals, a myriad of coastal and shore birds plus the crashing waves of the north Atlantic......
